Have you ever seen what a Sharp Viewcam camcorder looks like? Go ahead—look it up. That silver brick with a lens on the side was my family’s video camera as I was growing up. It was filled with hours of homemade movies and minute-long Star Wars and Lord of the Rings sequels, directed by my dad and I. Summer vacations turned into episodes of a reality TV show. I would follow my cats around the house and narrate their silent lives.
I have been fascinated with cameras for as long as I can remember.
I have been doing photography professionally for over seven years now. While pursuing a BFA in Photography and a minor in Digital Media Production at Kent State University, I also hold the title of Photo Editor at Fusion Magazine -- Ohio's only student-run, LBGTQ+ magazine.
Although I have worked in several photographic styles, portraiture is my absolute favorite. Making people feel confident and happy is my number one goal with my photography. I strive to keep improving my skills as I gain more experience in the industry, but I never want to lose what I love to do best: make people smile!
